Radiation from the sun, computer and prolong reading can harm your eyes. But in our world where we can’t keep ourselves from being busy and just keep our eyes in action, the better thing that we can do is to keep our eyes healthy.

Certain foods help our eyes to become healthy at all times. These foods are the following:

  • Apricots

Apricots are good for the eyes since they contain Vitamin A. Vitamin A is helpful because it protects our eyes from damaging due to the free radicals we get from radiation and pollutions in our surroundings.

  • Oranges

Oranges are also good for the eyes because they contain Vitamin C that also aids our eyes from free radicals.

  • Broccoli

What’s good about Broccoli is they not only prevent our eyes from damaging but they also prevent us from developing cataract. They also contain phytonutrient antioxidants that serve as our natural eye lenses.

  • Sweet Potatoes and Carrots

These vegetables are rich in Vitamin A as well as beta carotene which is an antioxidant that is essential for eye health.

  • Pineapples

Pineapples can also make our eyes healthy because they contain antioxidants that nourish the eyes and prevent from damaging.

  • Berries

Berries contain Flavonoids which provides protection to the sensitive areas of the eyes.

As the saying goes, “Prevention is better than cure”, one should take the steps of preventing the eyes from damaging, and good nutritional choices are among them.
